AHHHHHHHH!!!!
I AM FINALLY DONE COMING UP WITH MY
TENTATIVE STUDY PLANS FOR THE
EXCHANGE PROGRAMME!!!
not that i have been selected, but the
dean wants to see my
study plans by this coming monday, otherwise, i would, apparently, by
disqualified from the selection process. it is pretty absurd because according to the application process, i do not have to submit any tentative study plans until i have been selected. my prof also said i didn't have to. so when i received the email that i had to to so by the 17th of november, i was in disbelief.
but oh well, i did it. i have
FINALLY finished planning it after
2-3 days (the bulk of it was done today). and i came up with a study plan for
all 5 universities that i have applied to. quite
kiasu, or some would say that it is not necessary, or not worth spending that amount of time on, but it's alright. hopefully it'll show that i have done sufficient research on the courses available and increase my chances of getting selected. hee.
i have got a
huge load off my chest, and i can
breathe with ease now. :)
by the way, i am kind of
upset that this
semester is over. i have never felt like this. in fact, i was always looking forward to the end of a sem because of the gruelling projects and not-so-cooperative project mates, etc. this semester, however, has been
a lot more enjoyable. i guess i am starting to grow attached to my friends at school, especially the
geog people and my
ULC mates. :)
geog majors are like the
FUNNEST people you could ever meet in FASS.
so... well, i guess i do like uni life afterall. :)
here are some photographs from wed, during
lifesaving. we only managed to take our
CPR and theory test because it was raining very heavily.
water works will be carried out on next wed. :) hopefully i will pass my
BM award :)

it was pouring heavily... and JS left his fins and manikin out there.
the pool is my favourite place in NUS. :) it is my 2nd home...

nick the geek :) that's what they call him. haha :)

my lifesaving notes, handphone, camera casing, subway.. all in a mess.

bronze med!!!

dearest janice wondering 'what's taking the examiner so long???' hehe :)
these 3 CPR manikins are our bestfriends :) *smucks*

fellow geographers who rule the world...

nick and weisin...

my darling grace! :)

assef (big brother) is SUPER sian because of the rain.. :(
"i wanna swim so badly..."

so we ended the test slightly early at 8 plus and decided to do land training since it was raining.

we did lots of skipping and did strength/resistance training with resistance bands. i never knew it was that difficult. (despite the smiles on our faces)
during my first few pulls, i used the wrong part of my arm and hurt my shoulder really badly. i had to massage it for 5 minutes before i could start again. :(

YES! I CAN DO IT!
assef says like i'm about to fly! :)
anyhoodles, i was pretty stressed out about the SEP stuff and wanted to take my mind of some things. i thought it'd be good to meet up with the guys, so bin, hoongy and i caught madagascar 2. it was quite funny but not as good as the first. :) dinner was fab though, we were famished by the time the movie ended, so we headed to pasta mania. this time, hoongy decided to go for jeremy's favourite - CREAMY CHICKEN! for a change. :D fusilli seems to be the popular choice today, cos' both bin and hoongy had the exact same dish and type of pasta. :) as for me, i opted for something simpler since my throat was really uncomfortable - aglio olio! :) it is probably the plainest looking pasta you'd ever have, but it tastes wonderful. and that is what i was going for - flavour. olive oil, chili flakes, and garlic. (probably a bit of parsley). it takes skill to whip up an aglio olio. plus, i was CRAVING for it since forever!!! :) ooh the guys also suggested ordering a pizza, and so we did!
bin gave me some tips on fitness and sports (our fav topic), and we all talked about the biathlon, etc. hmm. still having 2nd thoughts. bin and hoongy have drastically differing views. hoongy and i are more alike in a sense that we would just sign up without giving much thought, then do it. a "GO FOR IT, JUST DO IT" kind of mentality. bin, on the other hand, despite being an adventurous and spontaneous person like me, would analyse further and think of the risks involved. with regards to the biathlon, he was worried that the 10km run would be overly-strenous on my knees and ankles. *sigh* so now i am STILL thinking about it. :) oh and there's the NUS biathlon which i will definitely sign up for.
i have to load up on more Vit Cs... i can feel myself on the verge of falling ill le.
PS: i love my shania baby. sorry i'm unable to mug overnight with you in school today. :( next week when i feel better alrighty? *big hugs* :)
